Staygroundedco candles are meticulously crafted to guarantee a unique experience. To maximize your experience and preserve the exceptional quality of our candles, here are a few practical tips we're happy to share with you!
1- MAINTAIN THE WICK AT THE CORRECT LENGTH
Be sure to remove any blackened portion before lighting your candle, as the wick (especially a wooden one) needs to be close to its fuel...the wax! Trim the wick to about ¼ inch (1 cm) from the surface before each use. You can use wick scissors for a precise, clean cut. A well-maintained wick ensures a more beautiful flame and prevents soot buildup on the container, guaranteeing a flawless candle experience from start to finish!
2- MELTING THE SURFACE OF THE CANDLE
Allow your candle to burn for approximately 1 to 2 hours until the wax has completely melted to the rim of the jar to prevent tunneling. The soy wax used in our candles burns more slowly and lasts longer than other types of wax. Therefore, it is normal for your candle to take this long to melt to the rim.
3- EXTINGUISH THE CANDLE CAREFULLY
To safely extinguish the candle, use the lid or gently blow out the flame. This prevents accidents and keeps the wick from moving. We also recommend not leaving the candle burning for more than 4 consecutive hours, as the wick will lengthen and the flame will intensify. Your candle will burn out more quickly.
4- REUSE EMPTY JARS
Once your candle has completely burned out, clean the jar with hot soapy water. You can then reuse it in various ways, such as storing bulk foods, holding your makeup brushes, or even filling it with bath salts...The sky's the limit!
5- SECURITY
Use your candle in a well-ventilated area, away from flammable objects, and place it on a heat-resistant surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
